Basic Functions:
The dual role of the TMS Assistant (TMS Asst.) is to support the TMS Clinic with appointment management, patient flow, record keeping, patient education and miscellaneous duties. This makes them an integral part of the facility. The TMS Assistant duties support and helps to develop the professional relationship between the technicians, other providers and staff in the clinic that directly affects the patient satisfaction and long-term clinical outcomes. The TMS assistant will closely follow the same practices as technicians.

- 9am - 5:30pm
Compensation: $22-24 / hr Based on Experience
Duties and responsibilities:
- Welcome patients as they contact the center personally or by telephone and explain the services available and walkthrough procedures.
- Schedule appointments; direct walk-in patients and emergencies as per established policies and procedures.
- Answer incoming calls.
- Register all patients per registration protocols and collection all documentation and billing information per billing protocol.
- Assure that all services provided have been checked out properly for each patient and reconcile the day’s activities for appropriate billing.
- Work closely with other staff to ensure smooth day/day functions.
- Call and remind the patient of his/her appointment.
- Communicate patient’s problem/complaint to direct supervisor
- Answer patient inquiries about procedures and encourage referrals when appropriate.
- HIPAA Compliance – Treats all member information confidential.
- Compliance – Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
- Other related duty as the job requires.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of medical/dental or assistant experience in similar setting
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to relate to the patients, through familiarity with medical terminology and triage procedure.
- Calm and friendly demeanor
- Willingness to develop a better understanding of the TMS profession and treating patients
- Ability to handle multiple functions.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to work with the public; communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to operate office machines.
- Must always show professionalism especially when working with patients.
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule and available to work at all site locations.
- Valid California Driver’s License

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
