What you bring to SBHG:
- Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years of general office experience. Six (6) months on-the-job experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is preferred.
- Current or previous experience as a consumer of mental health services or as a family member/caregiver of a former or current mental health consumer.
- Fluency in a second language preferred.
- Valid California Driver’s License, required.
How you will make a difference:
Under direct supervision, this position performs a variety of secretarial and clerical tasks for the Program Coordinator and Program Director, record keeping, sorting and light typing. In addition, acts as a receptionist for the program while greeting visitors. Handling extensive personal and confidential information is an essential job function of this position.
Division/Program Overview:
- The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in an unlocked setting with a stay of up to 23 hours
- Rapid mental health assessment and crisis intervention
- All age groups – children, adolescents, adults, and older adults – who need immediate access to crisis mental health services.
- The center provides important services to those in need of immediate crisis intervention and stabilization
- Individuals admitted into the crisis stabilization unit will be provided with support and services to ensure their safe transition to the next level of care or back to the community
