SUMMARY


The Banquet Server provides the highest-level excellent guest and customer service, food and beverage service and ensure our guests are comfortable and very satisfied. Banquet servers represent the company at coordinated events on or off the company property and are dedicated the providing 5-star guest and customer service through positive and friendly interactions, problem solving, serving excellent food and beverages and providing an experience the guest/customer is excited to return to again in the future. This is a non-exempt (hourly paid) position.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Demonstrates knowledge and commitment to company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior and outstanding customer service both internally and externally.
2. Models a positive and professional image that emulates the organization's mission and encourages a spirit of cooperation with co-workers. Provides support to co-workers and promotes teamwork by sharing information useful to achieving desired results.
3. Ensures that all employees are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect.
4. Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
5. Set banquet tables to meet function specifications.
6. Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments, and accompaniments.
7. Ensure menu knowledge.
8. Remove China, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the
stewarding area.
9. Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service is 5 star at all times.
10. Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
11. Ensure tables, storage or staging areas is well stocked at stations and services areas based on the event/venue.
12. Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
13. Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding, silverware, dishes, table set up or break down, etc.
14. Serve Alcoholic/non-Alcoholic beverages in conjunction with licensing/liquor and legal age requirement or other regulations.
15. Ensure personal appearance standards including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene is met at all times.
16. Stays abreast of industry trends and regulatory issues; as well as professional standards and makes recommendations on improvement processes.
17. May be requested participate in workshops and seminars to stay current with industry specific training or opportunities.
18. Communicates information to management timely.
19. Adheres to company policies and procedures:

21. Performs other duties as required, including cross training.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS


1. 2-4 years' experience in the food/hospitality industry highly preferred.
2. High school diploma or equivalent desired.
3. Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to raise a tray weighing up to 25 lbs to shoulder height.
5. Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
6. Must be available to work scheduled shifts as needed for business including days, nights, weekends and Holidays.
7. Must be able to communicate and present all interactions with guests and customers, vendors and team members in a friendly, positive and professional manner by providing outstanding internal and external service at all times.
8. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the principles of effective business and guest service relations with excellent customer service at all times.
9. Must possess ability to maintain effective and quality work performance consistently.
10. Must possess a thorough understanding of hotel regulations, operational processes, policies and obligations.
11. Must exhibit performance of which position requires for effectiveness and efficiency in the daily, weekly, and monthly expectations.

13. Ability to represent Company in an ethical and professional manner, and to maintain accountability at all times.
14. Ability to interact tactfully, effectively, and professionally with other employees, guests, external business partners agencies/personnel and the general public, while in your role during your duration of employment.
15. Willingness and ability to function as an effective team member through good communication and cooperation.

21. Must successfully pass background check and any other pre-employment requirements specific to your role.
22. Must be able to operate office, dining, kitchen and banquet related equipment, as appropriate.
23. Willing to work beyond normal working hours, weekends, holidays, and/or on other shifts and in other positions, when necessary
24. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language sufficiently and comprehensibly enough to perform the essential functions of the job
25. Sufficient computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Accounting Software, hotel guest software, all software used by the hotel or office and /or Internet to perform required duties
