MEDICAL ASSISTANT/BACK OFFICE STAFF
HOURS OF WORK:
Monday Friday 8:00am 5:00pm (Hours may vary according to patient scheduling)
35-40 Hours Full time/Benefits Provided
WAGE: Dependent upon experience and qualifications.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:
Room patients and take vitals
Triage patients
Complete patient intake forms
Chart prep
Administer injections
Assist the doctor with in-office procedures
Scan medical records into EHR
Process EHR task lists
Sterilize and process dirty instruments
Stock exam rooms and order supplies
Call labs and pathology
Patient follow up and processing of appropriate paperwork
Assist in answering phones on non-patient days
Demonstrate safe work practices
Assist front staff when needed
Assigned cleaning duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job
Certified Medical Assistant
Good analytical, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both as a team member and independently
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, in a busy, fast-paced setting
Must be able to arrive to work on time with a positive attitude and professional appearance
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Must follow HIPPA guidelines, with the ability to use discretion and confidentiality
Minimum 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant
Ability to travel twice monthly (transportation provided)
