Auto Logistics Specialist
Job Summary
Company is seeking a motivated individual with proven experience working directly with transportation service providers, carriers, and logistics partners. This position involves business development, bidding on new and/or repeat contracts, and strategic planning to facilitate timely, cost-efficient and profitable transportation of automobiles across the country.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and manage relationships with transportation service providers, carriers, and logistics partners
- Identify new business opportunities and constantly strive to maintain strong relationships with existing business accounts
- Understanding customers’ (OEM’s) business supply chain goals and providing tailored solutions
- Responsible for managing and defining financial resources such as, monitoring budgets related to your projects and providing input or analysis for financial decisions that impact your particular project
- Preparing bid sheets for new and renewable OEM contracts with profitable projections
- Match shipments with carriers, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and managing any issues that arise
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to optimize operations
- Collaborate with our experienced team to deliver top-notch service to clients
- Work closely with other internal departments to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience
- A self-starter and can be productive for this remote position
Qualifications
- Must have sales logistics experience with a strong customer base
- Familiarity with electronic data systems (EDI) and other relevant technologies
- Strong understanding of transportation operations, regulations, and industry trends
- Tech savvy and can easily adapt and/or willing learn to new technologies
- Must have excellent follow up skills, communication and organizational skills
- Customer service oriented
- Education generally equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of five or more years of related work experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Good energy and personality will be the drive to succeed in this position and fit with our culture
