Under California Government Code Section 14200, this position is eligible for hybrid telework and may be eligible for full-time remote work in some circumstances and/or time-periods, at the sole discretion of the Department. Telework-eligible applicants must reside in California. Headquarter location will be designated on the selected candidate's primary residence location. This is subject to change if A Government Entity's criteria is met.

- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, challenging work environment requiring quick turnaround to meet established deadlines desired.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to use good judgment when analyzing data and situations, draw sound conclusions, and take effective action desired.
- Demonstrated legal creativity, including in developing substantively and strategically sound interpretations of new and developing law desired.
- Working knowledge of legal documents and related material.
- Expertise in real estate law and transactions, finance.
- Experience with state housing loan or grant programs.
- Expertise in the legal aspects of real estate transactions, multi-family housing finance, and/or development.
- Experience in mortgage law.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact with people at different levels and from different backgrounds desired.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments with accuracy, to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and to work effectively, independently, and in a team environment desired.
- Well-developed and demonstrated skills in legal research, writing, analysis, negotiation, and advocacy desired.
