The research team in Seattle are leaders in the development of novel and transformative Cell Therapy and immune-oncology treatments for patients with cancer. The team is highly integrated across discovery, translational research, and early development in high performing multifunctional teams that work inclusively to deliver new medicines to patients using cutting edge technologies.
We are seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated researcher who will have a critical role in providing isolated immune cells from blood products to support discovery, translational and early product development efforts. Successful candidates will perform routine cell isolation, perform and coordinate key QC data generation, bank cell products, document quality control analyses, and support the on-time delivery of isolated cell types to teams across the organization. The successful candidate will show strong initiative, be able to work independently, be detail-oriented, and be a collaborative team player with excellent technical and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Manage acquisition of leukopak and other blood products as needed.
Complete cell isolations using magnetic bead separation technology from leukopak and PBMC samples.
Perform timely completion of QC test methods by flow cytometry.
Bank isolated cells and document processes and QC data as needed.
Coordinate activities across multi-functional teams.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
2+ years of academic and / or industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Biology, Immunology, Bioengineering, or related technical field with 2+yearsof experience in biotech/pharma industry. Experience in QC environment preferred.
Expertise in process monitoring, troubleshooting protocols, and providing documents and/or spreadsheets tosupportbusiness reporting requirements.
Demonstrated analytical skills to enable analysis and interpretation of characterization/QC reports
Hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or drug manufacturing, with knowledge of clean room/sterile practices being essential. Experience in cell banking is strongly preferred.
Strong documentation, organizational, and writing skills using MS office suite of software and online data systems
Highly motivated, quick learner, detail-oriented team player with history of demonstrated initiative and a collaborative attitude are essential.
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment, meet deadlines, & prioritize work on multiple projects.
Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours is required.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with the Miltenyi CliniMACs cell isolation automated equipment such as the CliniMacs Prodigy
Experience using FlowJo or other flow cytometry software
Experience with Cell Therapy process development or manufacturing
Buffer and cell culture media preparation
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $75,000 - $95,000 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
