Job Description
- Spearheading the development of food products.
- Leading end-to-end product development projects, from conceptualization to market launch, encompassing conceptualization, prototyping, material selection, technical transfer, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Crafting comprehensive product documents, such as equipment specifications, batch records, and standard operating procedures.
- Directing scale-up testing initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination with machine operators and strict adherence to procedural guidelines.
- Championing manufacturing process validation efforts, offering expertise on validation protocols and stability testing standards.
- Fine-tuning production processes to align with operational and sales targets, collaborating closely with Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and other relevant departments.
- Coordinating product showcases to bolster Sales and Marketing endeavors.
- Assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining documentation for certifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Food Science or a related field; preference for candidates with a Master's degree.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in food science, ideally within food manufacturing.
- Proficiency with food manufacturing operations, equipment, and product facilities, acquired over a minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience.
- Deep understanding of food process technology, encompassing heat transfer principles, thermodynamics, temperature dynamics, and the impact of temperature and time on substrates and functional ingredients.
- Robust background in food chemistry and food engineering.
- Familiarity with food laws and regulations, including expertise in nutritional facts development, ingredient declarations, and R&D documentation and formulation.
