Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently looking for a Supply Chain Data Scientist (Associate or Experienced) to join their Demand & Supply Planning team in Seattle, WA. The team seeks to deliver affordable and innovative readiness solutions utilizing Supply Chain statistical analysis to optimize inventory investment and asset planning for emerging business opportunities and for supply support sustainment programs; aligned with the strategic objective to leverage One Boeing in design and execution of Supply Chains.
A successful candidate will understand the importance of data analytics as these positions will focus on working directly with the demand planning, new business, and the Asset management team to perform statistical and mathematical data analysis to enable the BGS business to meet their organizational goals.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Generate demand forecasts, inventory plans and track functional performance metrics.
  • Develop modeling solutions that are structured to support contract performance targets.
  • Provide recommendations & strategies to minimize shortages/excess in supply.
  • Contribute to the Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP) process.
  • Perform data analysis to develop root cause / corrective action for data quality improvements.
  • Interpret customer requirements and develop modeling approaches to solve complex Supply Chain problems.
  • Determine appropriate forecast methodologies to develop cost effective fleet sustainment solutions.
  • Present & justify model results and recommendations to Supply Chain leadership, program managers, customers, internal/external auditors and peers.
  • Utilize simulation to test and prove the expected performance of the supply plan.
  • Estimate strategic resource requirements for product life-cycle support.
  • Assist with implementing current forecast model into Service Parts Management (SPM)
  • Test & Validate Pre/Post-Forecasting & IO Supply planning within SPM
  • Identify any gaps/disconnects within SPM Implementation

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite Tues/Wed/Thurs at one of the listed location options (Seattle, WA). This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience in Forecasting, Planning, Analytics and Supply Chain processes.
  • 1+ years of experience using or applying statistical and mathematical concepts to measure performance against projects to ensure a high-quality delivery.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience in Forecasting, Planning, Analytics and Supply Chain processes.
  • 3+ years of experience using or applying statistical and mathematical concepts to measure performance against projects to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Experience in Data Analytics, Statistics, Programming Language (SAS, SQL, R, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., R) and database languages (e.g., SQL).
  • Strong team player and passion to execute projects with a focus on customer and value
  • Experience in demand forecasting and/or data simulation

Typical Education/Experience:
Associate:
Typically 2 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Experienced:
Typically 5 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Relocation:

Summary Pay Range (Associate): $96,900 - $131,100
Summary Pay Range (Experienced): $121,550 - $164,450
