Work Requirement
This role will be based out of our Bellevue, WA office and is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Works on the Translational Sciences Biomarkers and Bioinformatics team to support data analysis and infrastructure for discovery, preclinical and clinical biomarkers for novel therapeutics in development or early phase clinical trials.
- Assists the team with the research, development and implementation of bioinformatics tools, and algorithms that facilitate the analysis of experimental and in-silico data.
- Designs, conducts and/or validates statistical analysis of preclinical in vitro and in vivo experimental data, and assists scientists in making data-driven decisions.
- Performs analysis of proteomic and genomic biomarker data from early phase clinical studies to assess safety, mechanism of action and efficacy of novel therapeutics.
- Works with the scientists in Protein Engineering, Discovery Research, Therapeutics Research teams to gather requirements and specifications for bioinformatics methods and tools.
- Implements bioinformatics methods for antibody discovery in conjunction with the software development group. Participates in the development of high-throughput and large dataset mining and analysis techniques.
- Fosters effective and collaborative working relationships with fellow employees, management and external partners.
Education and Experience
- MS or PhD in a scientific discipline (Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field) and a minimum of 1-3 years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong skills in biological sequence analysis (e.g. experience with tumor target expression analysis TCGA, cBioportal, bioinformatics algorithm design). Experience in analysis of next generation sequencing data (eg oncoplots), tumor inhibition / repeated measures analysis.
- Strong background in statistical analysis using R, SAS, Matlab or other statistical packages and familiarity with working in a high-performance environment.
- Experience in implementing and validating informatics methods, workflows.
- Effective software development skills in Python or any other programming language. Experience with building dashboards, performing biostatistics, preclinical/clinical trial biomarker dataset analysis in R studio, JMPPro, Spotfire to identify, evaluate prognostic/predictive biomarkers.
- Experience with cancer genomics is a plus. Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional team. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high paced, fast changing environment. Results-oriented. Excellent communication skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 - $138,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
