Location/Division Specific Information
This position will be Allentown, PA - REMOTE and will support our Clinical Trial Division (CTD) business unit of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Discover Impactful Work:
The position is responsible for the overall coordination and communication of projects for the sourcing of comparator products. With the assistance of Sourcing Specialists & supply chain coordination team members, you ensure that the services are delivered on time and to customer's and Fisher's quality standards. You act as primary point of contact for clients, from first customer request, recommend on appropriate sourcing strategy, providing timely and accurate communication and information for all relevant activities related to comparator projects, both internal and external. So that the products are ready for the start of the study or as the need arises by the customer.
A Day in the Life:
Engage with customer or internal requestor at time of request to understand project scope and constraints. Bring together those elements in internal systems, coordinate internal kick off meeting (if applicable), and ensure accurate handover to Sourcing team.
Evaluate the alternatives provided by sourcing team, select the suitable solution for the customer (using also benchmark with official databases) and prepare quote for customer.
Follow up closely with internal requestor or customer until final decision is made and update internal databases as per requirement.
Prepare/Collect documentation to enable handover of confirmed project to Supply chain team. Follow up internally with the team and QA team to ensure accurate update to customer regarding project advancement and completion.
Maintain and share overview of ongoing projects with customer though Action/project tracker, SharePoint.
Lead discussions and status updates through teleconferences.
Deputy function for another Project Manager when needed.
Support other PMs on ad hoc basis as required.
Participation in meetings (QBr and Tier meetings).
Active preparation of these meetings, inclusive generation of critical metric and power point presentation on the key relevant points to discuss and report upon.
Ensure knowledge of TMO, BSD, FCS, customer and Suppliers T&C, policies and likes.

Keys to Success:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, management, or other related discipline preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Entry level project management experience accepted, and 2-3 years of related project management experience preferred.
Customer service and customer facing experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Understand clinical development, clinical trial partners and TMO role in this landscape.
- Ability to meet as needed onsite in Allentown, PA.
- Understand concepts and processes around comparator sourcing and is able to clearly outline customer needs.
- Understand and applies quality principles as per SOP.
- Understands concept and applies good business practices.
- Identify criteria for sourcing strategy and key information to position an offer with best solution.
- Multi-tasker, detail oriented with strong interpersonal.
- Excellent Organizational and customer relationship skills.
- Able to prioritize.
- Ability to work independently within an international matrix organization.
- Knowledge in the area of Clinical trials and pharmaceuticals logistics is a plus.
