Description
Fisher Associates is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Land Development Group. The Senior Project Manager oversees and executes all the technical elements and administrative duties associated with large, non-routine and routine projects and is expected to assure that each project conforms to the contractual commitments made by the company.

Essential Functions

  • Establishes and maintains strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
  • Successfully perform and oversee project execution including initial project set up; development of a Project Management Plan and Job Safety Analysis; conducting a project kick-off meeting; routine monitoring of scope, schedule, and budget; ensuring the project is staffed appropriately and overseeing their work; project billing; providing client status updates; ensuring QA/QC is performed on all deliverables; and project close out.
  • Accurately and independently prepare project proposals within company guidelines and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Comprehensively understands and can successfully navigate and implement complex public processes and municipal approvals.
  • Responsible for budget management including continuous tracking, and communication of budget status to manager and clients; Ensure updates to the project budget are entered into Deltek Vision.
  • Prepare and authorize monthly invoices adhering to accounting guidelines and the contract billing terms.
  • Act as Proposal Manager and key client contact, overseeing all steps of the proposal process, and working with the Sector Director to respond to RFQ's/RFPs and solicitations for consultant services.
  • Prepare proposals and qualifications packages in adherence with marketing guidelines.
  • Maintain an active understanding of the area marketplace including knowledge of key potential projects beneficial to Fisher.
  • Proactively contact potential clients on project leads and market Fisher's services.
  • Actively assist with implementation of the quarterly marketing plan and participate in quarterly business development meetings.
  • Provide QA/QC on designs and reports for project plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Serves as the senior technical expert focused on Civil Engineering
  • Provide oversight and design guidance to on-going and new projects related to site design/layout and development for land development projects.
  • Direct design teams in preparation of site development plans and reports, and in providing construction support services.
  • Coordinate with other consultants and oversee land development subconsultants.
  • Interpret local, state and federal regulations for projects and properly apply to design and environmental permitting activities.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of technical work in a part of a major project or in a total project of complex scope.
  • Complete technical work including but not limited to stormwater design, permitting and site visits.
  • Represents the firm through active involvement in professional societies, participation on local business boards and community service.
  • Coordinate with other sectors and service lines to as necessary to fulfill project needs.

Requirements
Education & Experience
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 8-15 years of civil/site design and project management experience
  • New York State Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it.
  • Complete understanding of MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Office programs

Salary Range: $90,000 - $160,000 annually
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors.
