About the Job:Personal Injury & Accident Lawyers a growing national personal injury law firm is seeking a highly-motivated Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and will have superior organizational skills, can handle a high volume and fast-paced environment, and takes initiative to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts legal research and provides legal services on a wide variety of issues under personal injury law matters, including motor vehicle cases, slip and fall cases, medical malpractice cases, wrongful death cases, etc.
- Draft demand packages, review medical records, and communicate with insurance companies to obtain settlements for clients.
- May assist more senior attorneys in highly complex medical malpractice and wrongful death cases.
- Assist on other miscellaneous legal matters as needed.
- Work one on one with clients.
Required Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar. Admission to and in good standing with the New Jersey, New York, Florida, and/or California Bars are also preferred, but not required.
- 3+ years of legal experience. personal injury experience, a plus. Trial experience, a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Knowledge of Office 365, a plus.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong research skills, ability to provide concise oral and written advice to clients. In addition, the candidate will have a demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the firm, including legal assistants, paralegals, other Associate Attorneys, and managing attorneys.
- Willingness to work extended hours to ensure that all work is complete.
- Able to work in a fast-pace environment.
