Location: Montrose, Pennsylvania (Hybrid. Onsite when training, with potential for 2 days from home after)
*Relocation stipend considered for the right candidate*
Compensation / Benefits: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 base salary, along with mentorship, a structured bonus program for Associates, an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, 401(k), profit-sharing plan, paid time off, and a secure and collaborative workplace, offering some remote work opportunities.

Our client is seeking a full-time Pennsylvania-admitted Associate Attorney specializing in Trusts & Estates, Real Estate (residential or commercial), and/or a General Litigation Practice to join our Montrose, Pennsylvania office. This Attorney will allocate time between Montrose, Pennsylvania, and Binghamton offices, primarily focusing on our Montrose office.
Under the mentorship of one of our client's partners, the Attorney will receive guidance and training. The ideal applicant demonstrates a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed in private practice. Our client's Montrose office concentrates on Trust & Estates, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, and General Litigation. While admission to practice in New York State is beneficial, it's not mandatory.
Qualifications:
- Current PA Bar admission / NY Preferred.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Desire to develop and further legal skills.
- Represent our client's in the estate planning process.
- Draft various estate planning and trust administration documents.
- Assist clients with trust funding and provide advice.
- Prepare and assemble Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax returns.
- Understand the Orphans Court process, including court filings.
- Manage trust and probate administration cases and meet deadlines.
- Possess analytical and research skills.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Excel in interpersonal and communication skills.
- Represent our client's in purchases and sales of properties.
- Review real estate documentation and advise clients accordingly.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for real estate transactions.
- Draft various real estate documents during the transaction process.
- Handle title insurance underwriting, curative, and claims.
- Exhibit analytical and research skills.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excel in interpersonal and communication skills.
- Draft legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
- Administer depositions, issue interrogatories, and review documents.
- Negotiate settlements.
- Conduct legal research.
- Make court appearances as necessary.
- Conduct initial consultations with potential clients.
- Attend and conduct trials.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and promptly respond to clients needs.
