The Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research conducts basic science and translational research within the Department of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine. The Wells Center houses more than 200 faculty investigators, staff, and trainees seeking answers to the most pressing questions related to childhood illness. With the collaboration between scientists and physicians, the center aims to increase knowledge of causes and mechanisms of serious pediatric diseases. Our goal is to develop innovative approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of sick children in Indiana and beyond.
The Pulmonary, Asthma and Allergy Group in the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis is accepting applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank. We seek outstanding scientists complementing are group areas of interest in asthma and food allergy. Candidates conducting cutting-edge immunology research are encouraged to apply. Areas of specific interest include lung microbiome, cell function in allergic inflammation (including eosinophils, basophils, mast cells), and Lung development/ remodeling/epithelial function.
Successful applicants are expected to have or obtain external grant support and participate in teaching and committees.
The scientific environment at the School of Medicine and in Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research is highly interactive and collegial with and includes interactions with clinician in the Department of Pediatrics. Further interactions on campus include other Basic Science and Clinical Departments, as well as Research Centers and Institutes. Outstanding core facilities are also available.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate or terminal degree required. Candidates should hold a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. and demonstrate a record of productive and high-quality research. Academic credentials and existing extramural grant support will determine faculty rank.
