Assistant Vice President, Medical Innovation Incubator – Advanced Research

The Medical Innovation Incubator is a pioneering organization dedicated to fostering innovation in the new frontier of medical aesthetics and dermatology. We provide a dynamic and collaborative environment for entrepreneurs, researchers, and healthcare professionals to develop groundbreaking technologies and solutions that enhance consumer outcomes and revolutionize the industry.
What you will be working on:
As the AVP of Medical Innovation Incubator, you will report into the global head of the Regenerative Beauty Domain, play a pivotal role in leading our North America based incubator program, overseeing the development of innovative medical aesthetic technologies and solutions. You will work closely with a diverse team of entrepreneurs, business development, researchers, industry experts, and investors to identify promising projects, provide strategic guidance, and facilitate their successful development and commercialization.
1. Program Leadership: Provide strategic direction and vision for the medical program with a focus on external opportunities.
2. Project Management: Manage the incubation process from project ideation, due diligence, evaluation, selection, to development into clinical stage, ensuring projects meet milestones and deliverables.
3. Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for entrepreneurs, researchers, open innovation, business development, clinical team, regulatory experts, marketing team, to exchange ideas and expertise and accelerate projects.
4. Mentorship: Provide scientific mentorship and guidance to incubator participants and stakeholders, helping them navigate challenges and maximize their potential for success.
5. Partnership Development: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry partners, business development, internal research team, and stakeholders to ensure project orchestration, organization, funding, updates, and commercialization opportunities.
6. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, unmet needs, and opportunities for innovation in the beauty industry.
7. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and standards relevant to medical technologies, ensuring compliance throughout the incubation process.
8. Networking: Represent the incubator program at academic and industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise awareness and attract top talent and partners.
What you bring:
- Advanced degree such as MD, PhD, or PharmD in a relevant field (e.g., clinical medicine, biomedical engineering, life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences) with a minimal of 10 years industrial experience
- Proven track record of leadership and success in incubating and commercializing innovative technologies, preferably in the medical aesthetic, dermatology, or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of the dermatology and medical aesthetic market landscape, including key players, trends, and regulatory considerations, both in the US and global.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and drive results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Collaborative team player with a passion for fostering innovation and making a positive impact in the medical aesthetic industry.
