Global Banking Operations (GBO) is one of the largest clusters within CIB Americas Operations function; and it is responsible for managing Middle Office & Back Office operations. GBO consists of teams such as, Trade Finance Operations, Lending Operations, Credit Middle Office, Transversal Services and Production Support. GBO teams work closely with our business partners and global teams, as part of the global team, to process and understand requirements from clients, industry, regulators and other stakeholders, and manage operations against those requirements.

Responsibilities:

       Manage / Coordinate upon the variety of projects related to process re-engineering, controls enhancement, process mapping and automation.

       Project coordination, in relation to process mapping, data mapping, building Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions and functional analysis for Workflow tool.

       Work closely with Operations, IT team and AI labs to assist in building new technological solutions for multiple operations processes.

       Play a pivotal role in coordinating reports and dashboards across US, Canada & LatAm teams.

       Assist in creation of Operations Productivity metrics across all teams; and provide monthly reports to the management.

       Assist in Operations Finance & Budgeting activities.

       Responsible for bringing together crucial pieces of information such as priorities, action plans, systems, procedures, operational performance, innovations, etc. from multiple sources to develop strategic options.

       Prepare Project & Controls related presentations for senior management.

       Enhance Operations Controls across Americas; and build governance & reporting around controls.

       Review Audit recommendations, Permanent Control Actions and Historical Incidents; and provide regular updates to the senior management.

       Oversee GBO IG audits, External audits & 2LOD reviews. Ensure GBO Compliance with regulatory, IG and business requirements.

  • Manage Operations Production Support activities, such as Reviewing beneficiary names & remittance instructions; Approve new and amended remittance instructions processed by the Loan Servicing Team; and creation of MAOS requests for loan deals.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Finance or Economics
  • Overall, 5 plus years, with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Project Management & Controls governance.
  • Excellent in MS Excel and PowerPoint presentations.

       Strong analytical skills, in relation to process reviews/documentation and number crunching.

       Excellent Communication skills, as well as highly developed collaborative nature.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Operations Specialist having experience working as Back or Middle officer in a financial institution.
  • Project management certification
  • Relevant experience in managing back-office transactions related to Credit Deals or Corporate Loans or Letters of Credit or Supply Chain.

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $110k to $129k annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
