AVP, Insurance Analytics
Role & Responsibilities Overview:
- Insurance data and analytics domain expert who can provide strategical and tactical advisory services on data solutions and consult with the senior business leaders.
- Assist clients to define and develop their data and AI roadmap, detailing the transformation initiatives and operating models to support these priorities.
- Conduct sessions to understand the clients’ needs utilizing standard and innovative consulting skills to deliver an optimal recommendation.
- Expected to work in close collaboration with the Client team and EXL team on establishing relationship with stakeholders, identify new opportunities, areas of growth.
- Develop business proposals, facilitate client working sessions, team up with technology professions and/or third-party strategic alliances to conduct solutioning exercises based on clients’ needs.
- Participate and own various new RFPs, work with various SMEs to research and develop technical/business case studies,
- Provide Project, Client & Team Management and Monitor progress of deliverables on daily basis and ensures timely resolution of any issues.
- Provide technical direction/support to project team members across data modeling, data manipulation, visualization, predictive modeling, Reporting and Automation projects across Insurance Value Chain
- Ensure Industry best practices are followed, Communicate and follow up with delivery team.
- Brainstorming on pain areas/Identifying reasons for issues/Issue Resolution, diagnosis of inefficiencies in the current process and figuring out ways to resolve it.
- Experienced in execution of delivery of a range data management, analytics, artificial intelligence consulting and delivery engagements.
- Demonstrated experience in building relationship with executive level clients.
- Support the engagement with expertise in deploying data solutions on Cloud, advanced analytics, and business intelligence solutions.
- Hands on experience in successful implementation of DataOps, including advanced data modelling and management techniques.
- Establish environment of learning and development to continuously strengthen delivery proposition for various analytics setups.
- Encourage and keep team members motivated to develop innovative solutions; Establish industry standard framework for absorbing latest development in the industry.
- Perform research and provide solutioning for various business needs from clients across insurance value chain.
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply.
- 10+ years of data and analytics consulting experience from a professional or management firm and has strong focus in insurance industry.
- Experience in working in dual shore engagement and must have experience in managing large programs – Insurance Analytics CoE and multiple clients directly.
- Demonstrated experience across analytics value chain and has delivered multiple data, BI, Automation, Predictive modeling, Business consulting and delivery assignments.
- Competitor analysis,Ad-hoc data analysis and application of First principles thinking approach to solve business problems.
- Complete understanding and demonstrated experience of Cloud Services (AWS), modern data architecture, governance, and practices. Strong grasp of the latest tools within the market.
- Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: location and experience. The base salary range listed is just one component of EXL's total compensation package for employees.
