About the role
What you need to know:
Come join the AIG General Insurance Claims team in this Business Analyst role. In this role you will be a partner in our Service delivery organization working with our business stakeholders as the conduit to ensure business needs are translated into actionable technology requirements for our Claims platform. You will work closely with business units and the technical development teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Become a Subject Matter expert in the offerings and capabilities of AIG’s Claims platform
Participate in key AIG initiatives that involve documentation of processes, requirements, and system analysis.
Investigate identify system bugs and resolve issues
Participate in review meetings with IT, external and internal business partners
Develop and execute test plans to confirm user requirements
Develop user guides, release notes, and training material for the end users
What we’re looking for:
5+ years’ experience working with in the Property & Casualty insurance industry in a similar role
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
Knowledge and experience with the Insurance business. Must have experience within the Claims business.
Ability to interact with business, operations, information technology and multi-disciplined stakeholders. A successful candidate will be able to converse with these diverse stakeholders, understand their process, outcomes and be able to articulate opportunities, improvements as well as document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
We are seeking candidates that have an analytical and data driven mindset, we encourage out of the box thinking, leveraging past experiences to identify innovative solutions to opportunities.
Experience in Agile environment, ability to conduct PI planning sessions, maintain requirement artifacts in Agile central tools and ability to break complex projects into sizable deliverable that can be delivered within given iteration
Experience in Enterprise business process monitoring (BPM) technologies (e.g. Pega and equivalents).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required, this includes and not limited to writing emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists as
Proficient in using flowchart and diagramming software (e.g., Microsoft Visio)
Knowledge and proven past track record of being able to ask the right questions with non-technical individuals to understand the process, learn it, and identify opportunities where technology can make a difference.
For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $94,000-$118,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
