As a Sourcing Manager for Infant Toddler GirlCore Knits, you'll be at the forefront of our evolution, driving profitability, styled relevance, and diversifying production countries, and developing emerging markets such as the Western Hemisphere. Your role is crucial in enabling a global approach to meet the demands of our guests, leveraging a global team to drive greater productivity with levers of speed and flexibility.
About the role: As a Sourcing Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in sourcing and developing products that positively impact people and the planet. Integrating sourcing capabilities with a commitment to quality and social responsibility, you'll influence the cost and quality of our products; and the effectiveness of our supply chain. With a focus on Infant Toddler GirlCore Knits, you'll drive responsible sourcing practices while contributing to the success and growth of Target's owned brands.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Merchants, Planners, and Product Design and Development to bring merchandise from concept to our stores and online channels.
- Partner with global sourcing and vendors to deliver high-quality, trend-right merchandise at great value.
- Influence roundtable partners to make decisions that drive enterprise growth and scalable success.
- Drive sourcing strategy to achieve global balance, optimize matrices, and support financial plans.
- Utilize negotiation skills and costing expertise to ensure quality/cost alignment, delivering maximum bottom-line value.
- Stay informed about supplier activities to ensure compliance with responsible practices and influence manufacturer selection.
- Serve as a liaison between buyers, product developers, and overseas partners, supporting sourcing offices in 20 countries.
- Adapt to evolving business needs and take on additional responsibilities as required.
- Partner with merchants, designers, and technical experts to build products that are aligned with strategy, trend, cost, and quality goals and brand standards.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant sourcing or merchandising experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with strategic thinking and critical analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve business objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate creative aspirations to tangible business outcomes.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Proficient in analytics and financial acumen.
- Ability to connect across cultures, functions, and silos.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
