Hope Lutheran uses a research based curriculum that is based on active learning. The curriculum uses a framework that provides an engaging and supportive climate, parent partnerships, an optimal learning environment, and assessments. We use hands-on, active, engaging, and playful activites to help children grow in all areas of development: body, soul, mind, and spirit. Teachers focus on guiding and supporting children to learn and grow through exploration and play.
As an employee of Hope Lutheran you must meet state licensing requirements which include CPR/First Aid and basic early childhood knowledge. Hope Lutheran is happy to partner with staff to attain these requirements on site.
Description of duties:
- Maintain a safe and loving environment to help our children learn and grow.
- Know and follow all sate regulations as well as policies and procedures of Hope Lutheran.
- Communicate and partner with parents as discussed with the lead teacher.
- Learn and help implement Hope's curriculum.
- Assist the lead teacher in the supervision, well-being and education of Hope's children.
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing the daily routine.
- Assist in decorating and organizing the classroom environment in such a was as to enhance the children's learning and development.
- Assist in keeping the classroom and building clean and sanitized, neat and orderly.
- Be alert to the needs and problems of the children as individuals and a group.
- Take part in ongoing training and professional development.
Hope Lutheran is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Pay is based on experience in a licensed center and education. We are committed to our teachers in helping them get the training they need to succeed in the classroom through initial training and ongoing support.
