Member Experience Center Hours:Monday through Friday 8AM to 6PM, Saturday 9AM-12:30PM

• This is a 20-25 hour per week, in office, position located in our call center at our Brenham, TX location.
• Rotating Saturday Schedule
• This is NOT a remote position.

ACU of Texas has been serving members and communities since 1949 and we've been in the Brenham community since 2016.

We are looking to hire a Part-Time Member Experience Center Representative (MECR) to our team! In our call center environment, you will be helping members from the start of your day until your shift ends. We have a true passion for taking care of our members and assisting them through our various channels of communication. We're able to help them via chat, text, vBanking, email and phone!

Job Duties

1. Assist members with account inquiries and resolve member issues without transferring call unless inquiry is outside of call center capabilities or scope.
2. Provide excellent service to our members utilizing Account Cross Sell in Symitar, which qualifies members for products or services available through ACUTX.
3. Provide routine information concerning credit union services or policies, including: eligibility for membership, how to apply for membership, type of accounts available, loan policies, and interest rates for loans, location of the office(s), office hours, directions and telephone services.
4. Provide and explain account history and balance and process account transactions including transfers and loan payments at member's request.
5. Perform any account maintenance per members authorization. Maintenance to include address changes, name changes, and any other account changes per members authorization.
6. Process member check orders via online check order software.
7. Promptly answer and respond to online chats, tickets, and other electronic communication channels.
8. Refer any loan applications or inquiries through appropriate channels.
9. Assist Collections Department in collecting on delinquent loans by researching cause of delinquency and correcting the problem to bring loan current.
10. Assist members with all electronic services which include online banking, mobile banking, bill pay, remote deposit, smart pay and others.
11. Process check/card by phone payments.
12. Assist members with credit card and debit card issues and questions. Assist members with reporting disputes and fraud on account, debit card, or credit card.
13. Assist members with incoming and outgoing wires.
14. Determine eligibility for loan skip-a-pay and processing skip.
15. Assist with onboarding new members via Join Now.
16. Perform any back office duties as assigned.
17. Keep current in knowledge of credit union processes and standards by studying pay day updates and taking procedure quizzes promptly.

Education/Certifications/ Licenses

A high school degree or GED is required.

Experience

Up to six months of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

Interpersonal Skills

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
