Assistant Supervisor

Due to our continuous growth and search for contributing talent, Titan America, LLC is seeking an Assistant Production Supervisor - Draglines to be based at our Corkscrew facility in Estero, FL. This position offers exposure to large excavating equipment feeding an industrial organization with a 1-million-ton-per-year production facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Vast familiarity and knowledge of Manitowoc 4600 draglines - ability to maintain, operate, and manage a 4600 dragline on a daily basis. Extensive knowledge of 4600 parts.
• Follow and enforce Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) rules and regulations, actively promote and support our safety culture. Dragline must be kept in compliance with federal and county regulations.
• Ensure that a safe workplace is maintained for self and all employees, based on company policies and MSHA regulations.
• Manage the daily production of the Manitowoc 4600 Dragline to meet the overburden and pad preparation needs to supplement the Manitowoc 6400. Manitowoc 6400 knowledge is a plus.
• Manage the interaction between the dragline pile and the haul fleet to ensure swift and safe removal of stacked material.
• First project will be to break down, relocate, and erect a Manitowoc 4600 from a purchased operation.
• Implement preventive maintenance program on the machine to match the availability to the desired utilization. Inspect, troubleshoot, and schedule repairs on the 4600.
• Lead, inspire, and develop staff.
• Daily duties will include operation, maintenance, repair, and supervisory duties, all as needed.
• Maintain and present records and reports as required.
• Implement continuous improvement programs, following environmental regulations & best practices.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of supervisory and dragline experience is a must.
• Knowledge of contract maintenance, production, and daily maintenance is required.
• Must show a willingness to learn, be adaptable, and have a desire to take ownership of the operation.
• Must be willing to communicate and help educate site staff through hands on experience and on-job training events.
• High school diploma (or equivalent), plus applicable friction dragline experience.
• Have a good knowledge of maintenance practices and work experience with troubleshooting and repair of draglines.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written; Spanish language a plus.
• Proficient with personal computers (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word) preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is preferred.
