Well established privately held Residential Property Management company looking to hire a full time Assistant Property Manager for a 190+ unit apartment complex in Chatsworth, California.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an apartment manager at a similar property. Strong verbal/written communication skills; Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent organization, negotiation and supervisory skills.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Bilingual a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Proficiency with computers.
- Experience with Property Management software
- Ability to compile clear and accurate reports for management. Major Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Directly supervise all building maintenance and staff.
- Select, supervise and train all office personnel (if any) and periodically evaluate effectiveness.
- Develop effective marketing plan & oversee plan's effectiveness.
- Leasing from showing units to completing the lease and move in/move out.
- Enforces company policies and procedures on site. Make sure all employees are accountable and completing all necessary required paperwork and assignments.
- Approve purchase orders for required office and marketing items.
- Effectively address tenant issues and concerns.
- Coordinate with Regional Maintenance Manager regarding unit turns and maintenance projects.
- Perform other duties as required

Rate of pay is negotiable based on experience of applicant. Benefits after 90 day probationary period. All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.

- Maintain accurate records of all resident interactions and lease agreements

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in property management or related field preferred
- Knowledge of property leasing practices and procedures
- Strong negotiation and sales skills
- Familiarity with property maintenance processes
- Understanding of Fair Housing regulations and landlord/tenant law
- Proficiency in property management software such as OneSite or Yardi is a plus
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
