Job Description
The ideal candidate must have experience in commercial construction and/or commercial roofing and be able to manage and coordinate subcontractors and crews.
Responsibilities:
· Review scope of work and estimating to generate a project schedule
· Notify trade partners of project schedule forecast and update regularly as project progresses
· Review Trade/Vendor invoicing prior to payment submission and check for accuracy
· Write any Change Orders needed for variance from original scope of work/contract
· Supervise the work of field crews and give them guidance, when needed
· Conduct regular project progress meeting with client and operations manager
· Maintain a clean, safe work environment, including OSHA requirements
· Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met
· Acquire equipment and material
· Hire subcontractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
· Review job tracking on a regular basis and analyze any deficiencies
· Create list of project materials to be ordered
· Measure, calculate and create project estimates and present them to clients
· Schedule inspections, as needed
· Visit job sites and manage project foremen/crew
Requirements:
· Prior project management/estimating experience in the commercial construction industry
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to prioritize time and project needs
· Ability to interface well with work crews
· Proficient in technology-based applications
· Ability to adapt to change in order to meet project goals/deadlines
