General Job Description
**
As a logistics assistant manager at our factory, you will be pivotal in managing and optimizing our inbound logistics processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials, components, and supplies into the factory, contributing to our manufacturing operations' overall efficiency and productivity.
Every associate at Hanwha must contribute equally to hold others accountable and improve processes and systems. This will eventually ensure superior quality of products and services. Total Quality management is a joint effort of management and associates to exceed customer satisfaction levels.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
**
Track and trace all inbound of raw materials, additives, and packaging supply to prevent disruption of production.
Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, components, and supplies. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure quality and quantity conformity, reporting any discrepancies to the relevant departments.
Maintain effective communication with suppliers to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues, and ensure on-time arrivals of materials. Build strong relationships with key suppliers.
Ensure efficient storage and organization of incoming materials within the factory, optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
Establish relationships with freight forwarders.
Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and initiate reorder requests when necessary to prevent shortages.
Communicate with members to prevent inbound traffic from occupying receiving gates/docks.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of all inbound surroundings.
Collaborate with the quality control team to inspect incoming materials and report any quality issues. Work towards improving the quality of incoming materials.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incoming materials, including invoices, packing slips, and inventory logs.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements within the outbound logistics function.
This position has no managerial role.
**Work Environment
**
This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. Participation in events (trials, DOE, etc.) on the production floor is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

**Required Education and Experience
**
A bachelor's
degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent work experience is essential.
Sound knowledge of logistics and distribution management.
Strong organizational and planning skills, with a focus on efficiency

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
Experience with inventory management, fleet management, and procurement processes and procedures.

Problem-solving and excellent communication skills.
Computer experience with knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with WMS or similar inventory management programs.
Experience maneuvering industrial vehicles and essential maintenance to replace/charge power sources.
Preferred/Desired:
Need to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuously improving environment.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
The ability to work with components constantly along a production line without adverse effects.
