The Role:
We are looking for a qualified Assistant Warehouse Manager to fill an immediate opening on our team. This role will be working with supervisors and leads to help manage a retail and ecommerce distribution operation. The position will work with the Vice President of Fulfillment to set and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Gain complete understanding of all warehouse processes.
- Work with supervisors and leads to ensure proper training of personnel regarding all aspects of warehouse operations. This includes hands-on training.
- Plan, delegate, and assist in executing daily/weekly tasks to ensure job is completed in an accurate timely manner.
- Diagnose issues with processes and develop plans to improve.
- Improve upon current KPI goals and measurement methods.
- Promote a team environment through training, coaching, delegating, and performance feedback.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory in the facility and throughout the company.
- Work with other teams including Customer Experience, Inventory Control, and Merchandising to understand and achieve fulfillment goals.
- Assist in order management processes through multiple platforms.
- Assist in the hiring process including interviews, hiring, and onboarding.
- Interpret and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Work with supervisors to maintain a clean and safe warehouse.
- Assist in order management functions including intercompany fulfillment and determine daily fulfillment volume in the warehouse.
- Assist in employee development including performance reviews, gathering feedback, and disciplinary action.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse and inventory practices.
- Ability to run and analyze reports in Excel and similar programs.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Able to recognize urgencies and prioritize workload.
- Ability to effectively manage a team of supervisors, leads, and associates.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all other Freebird departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience with leadership team of warehouse operation
- Forklift certification or ability to acquire forklift certification
- Ability to be on your feet eight hours per day and lift 50 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
