ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is located in the Rooms Division at The Tsubaki Tower. Responsibilities of this position include the managing of daily operations with responsibilities including, but not limited to planning, budgeting, staffing and payroll. The Asst. Front Office Director provides guidance to all members of the Front Office.
- Plan, analyze, implement, and review guest services. Compare services with competitors, conduct market studies with regard to customer services and guest safety, and recommend special promotions.
- Coordinate Front Office staff of daily activities, group and VIP arrivals as well as special requests and repeat guests. Check accommodations, making sure any special requests are carried out accordingly, greet guests upon arrival and ensure escort to accommodations if appropriate.
- Hold weekly department meetings keeping staff informed of all activities in the hotel, reinforcing Standards of hotel and promoting a strong team atmosphere and culture.
- Perform Scheduling and Payroll Tasks of the department
- Manage and monitor activities of all employees in the Front Office department making sure they adhere the standards of hotel and to the guidelines set in the employee handbook, hotel policies and procedures, coaching, training and correcting where needed.

Work Environment
This job operates in an office environment and hotel property. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, regularly requiring long hours and frequent weekend work.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, or minimum of 5 years progressive experience in a 300+ guest room deluxe property
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its facilities and services.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
