Job Overview:
FXI seeks a growth-oriented individual as its new Power BI Developer. The Power BI Developer will work closely with internal customers to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. He or she will provide data that is accurate, congruent and reliable and is easily accessible. The DAX will educate and train internal customers to use the data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new form and content for the purpose of analysis and exploring options. Starting from reporting out on existing data, the Power BI Developer will quickly be expected to turn current reports into repeatable dashboards which meet up-to-date internal customer needs and can be relied on by the FXI executive leadership team.
This data helps business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience and business results. This individual understands how data is turned into information and knowledge and how the knowledge supports and enables key business processes. He or she must have or develop an in-depth understanding of the business environment and possess both strong analytical and communication skills. Further, the Power BI Developer must work well within a team environment.
Responsibilities

• Work closely with Business Analysts and end users to evaluate business requirements and advise on appropriate informative views and dashboards

• Create DAX measures to enable data visualization
• Visualize data in innovative ways to communicate complex concepts that tell a story in a simple way through graphs, charts, infographics, dashboards, and geographic visualization techniques

• Design, develop, deploy, monitor, report and improve enterprise process data visualization via Power BI

• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
• Develop and update technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems as needed

• Analyze complex business problems and issues using data to provide insight to decision makers

• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses

• Work with EDW Architect/Developer and Azure Cloud Administrator to establish refresh schedules and support and maintain the BI platform
• Maintain, update, and manage audit reports, and oversee data error corrections with team leaders
• Investigate new tools, tool capabilities and engage with Business to propose, manage, and implement solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or specialized training/certification, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of related work experience
• Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist
• Advanced DAX skills
• Familiarity with Reporting and Visualization tools (Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack)
• Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) a plus
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory a plus
• Knowledge of SAP ECC or S/4Hana a plus
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to organize, analyze, and present data
• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
