Assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in the day-to-day security administration and operations for a cleared facility under the National Industrial Security Program. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Job Description
· Assist FSO with overall security program
· Establish and maintain successful working relationships with government and internal customers
· Review personnel security clearance submissions and periodic reinvestigations using e-QIP, DISS and NBIS
· Provide security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for cleared personnel
· Secure and maintain all personnel security clearance records
· Maintain document and visitor control records; coordinate visit requests
· Assist FSO with self-inspection and review of security processes to ensure compliance with NISPOM
· Enforce standards for a secure environment for the protection of personnel, property, documentation and information
· Interface with government customers on security related issues.
· Assist in preparation, management, and interfacing with DCSA during audits.
· Provide answers/analyses to address questions and concerns from management
· Assist with coordination of closeout for all classified contracts received and issued
· Support other security disciplines as needed: information, documentation, personnel, physical and communications security
Skills and Qualifications
· Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret level clearance
- Must have, or be able to pass, FSO Orientation for Non-Possessing Facilities Curriculum Training
- Must have, or be able to pass, Establishing an Insider Threat Program for Your Organization Training
- Gain in-depth knowledge of NISPOM, DISS, NISS, e-QIP and NBIS
- Must be able to interpret and implement security policy and guidance and provide oversight and assistance to staff
- Should be able to demonstrate by knowledge and experience the ability to help the FSO implement and manage a comprehensive Security Program
- Be able to create and maintain security files for employees, consultants, and independent contractors is accordance with NISPOM and DCSA guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, organize and prioritize numerous tasks
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be able to juggle competing demands and prioritize work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have excellent written and oral communications skills
- Must have excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Must have a positive, can-do attitude
