SUMMARY: Highline Public Schools is seeking a highly-organized and people-focused individual to contribute to the leadership and manage the day to day operations of the Safety and Security department. As Assistant Director of Safety and Security, this individual will work with the Director to ensure appropriate training and support of district SAFETY and SECURITY staff. As they manage the day to day operations of the department, an ideal candidate for this position is someone with strong discernment and judgement when balancing priorities, exercising clear communication especially in high-tension situations that involve issues of SAFETY and SECURITY. An ideal Assistant Director is someone who has training and experience in restorative practices and de-escalation skills, appropriately demonstrating cultural competence across a diverse stakeholder community that includes students, staff, and families.
Please note the following hiring timeline: This position will close at 11:30 pm on January 17th. HR Minimum Qualification screening and district phone screening will take place on a rolling basis through Friday January 19th, followed by site-based screening beginning on January 22nd.
