- Be responsible for the entitys effectiveness and efficiency of infection control/prevention, clinical quality analytics and data reporting, and process improvement.
- Collaborate with system corporate directors to standardize these functions across Emory Healthcare.
- Provide direction for the Quality and Patient Safety Department in support of the achievement of departmental and organization goals and objectives.
- Lead collaborative partnerships among all entity departments to support patient centered, safe and effective care.
- Provide regular updates to entity leadership on reportable events, quality metrics, and special projects.
- Responsible for position management including interview, hiring/firing, onboarding, evaluation, coaching, mentoring, training, professional development, employee recognition, etc. to maintain an active, engaged workforce.
- Collaborate with the system Quality Division Director of Quality Operations in all aspects of budgeting, purchases, and payroll (time and attendance). Contributes to annual Quality and Patient Safety reports.
- Lead T2 Quality huddle and presents at T3 Hospital (or T4 PGP) and System Quality huddles.
- Actively round in the department and across the entity.
- Facilitate the use of statistical process tools, process improvement and problem solving for continuous improvement in all care and services provided at the entity.
- Oversee the integration of performance improvement processes.
- Organize mortality reviews and implements process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications: - Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or other quality related field. (In lieu of a master's degree, candidates with 10 years leadership experience in healthcare Quality and accreditation may be considered).
- Five years of experience in healthcare quality, including two years leadership experience.
- Must hold Six-Sigma and/or Lean certification and/or experience and attain CPHQ within 2 years of employment.
Salary range: $55.37- 101.75/HR
- The salary of the position is based on specific criteria met within the qualifications as well as the specialty area, relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity. This position is eligible for shift differentials.
