St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college is seeking an Assistant Director of the Norman Miller and Cassandra Voss Centers to oversee both centers. This position is responsible for creating and executing programs to increase the visibility and influence of the centers by collaborating with campus and community partners. The Assistant Director will maintain high knowledge, professionalism, and hospitality standards while promoting a positive and inclusive campus environment to support student, staff, and faculty success.
Specific responsibilities:
Plan and oversee all logistics for educational programs, from conception through execution. Provide an atmosphere of hospitality in all interactions. Act as liaison between the Centers and speakers, initiate invitations and agreements, and serve as primary contact throughout the process. - 20%
Oversee voter education and voter registration efforts, collaborating with all areas of campus, off-campus voting organizations, and city/state offices to promote and facilitate student civic engagement. - 10%
Network and collaborate with off-campus partners to co-sponsor and promote highly visible public events. - 5%
Create design concepts, titles, descriptions, and communications plans with student community organizers and oversee printing and distribution of marketing materials. Work with the Office of Communications to determine and implement marketing strategies for outward-facing programs. Maintain both Centers’ websites and social media accounts, promoting events through social media while developing student community organizers. - 10%
Together with the Director of the Centers, engage with college faculty and administration as committee members, collaborative partners, and event participants, developing and promoting educational programs that appeal to and benefit faculty, staff, and students, consistent with the Centers' mission, vision, and values. . - 10%
Assist the Center Director and the Advisory Committee in strategic planning, grant development and management, contributing to developing and promoting the Center’s mission, vision, and values. Gather assessment data, track programming budgets, and draft reports on the cost and impact of the Centers’ programs. - 5%
Recruit, hire and manage the development of student staff. This includes check-ins, reviews, team building, workshops, and mentorship. Oversee staff task lists, approve student timesheets, and lead staff meetings. - 20%
Direct the remote delivery of programs, training students on the use of relevant technologies, working with internal and external partners and all program participants to ensure functionality, and coordinating teams working behind the scenes for each event: initiate committee reviews, communicate with applicants, create campus-wide marketing, assist with remote video platform delivery as needed, and facilitate all contracts and payments for the program. - 10%
Manage the financial platform, and financial transactions, both internally and externally, with timeliness and confidentiality.. - 5%
Participate in various committees, training, and special assignments. This could include attending professional development conferences, participating in NMC academic travel tours, and taking students to academic or student development conferences. - 5%
Perform additional duties as assigned and attend college-required training. Regular attendance is required. Work in a manner that is aware of personal safety and the safety of others and observes safety, health, and sanitation codes, regulations, or practices required by the College or governmental authority.

Student workers (usually 5-8 student workers/academic year)
Volunteers for programs and events
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education -
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience and Credentials -
5 years of marketing and event management experience.
Background in international/global studies, sociology, political science, or peace studies are preferred.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse campus environment or commitment to do so as an employee of St. Norbert College.

Skilled at organizing events, programs, and projects and seeing them through to completion.
Experience with community engagement and/or partnership development
Experience and ability to effectively establish relationships and positive communication across differences, including but not limited to race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical limitations, and class or religious perspectives
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate and positively interact and engage with people of various backgrounds.

Working Conditions:
Regular work hours are M – F, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with a few interruptions throughout the day.This position is expected to work on campus on a regular basis and is eligible to participate in a Hybrid Work and Flexible Schedules. Approval of Flexible Work Arrangements are at the discretion of the department supervisor to ensure that the needs of the department and college are met. Weekends or evenings may be required for special events. This position is not expected to travel.
