ECG’s Corporate Operations team has approximately 100 employees associated with ECG offices across the country. Team members keep the business running, manage payroll and benefits offerings, ensure deliverables are high quality, hire and train employees, market our services, streamline business processes, and much more. Corporate Operations departments include Administrative Services, Business Development, Document Production Center, Finance, Human Resources (which includes Recruiting and Learning & Development), IT, and Marketing
Your Opportunity with ECG: Assistant Controller
As an Assistant Controller at ECG, you’ll be an important part of our Corporate Operations team. Not only will you partner with some of the industry’s best to reach your highest goals, but you will also make a real difference in people’s lives and grow personally and professionally while doing so. Your Responsibilities May Include:
- Assisting the CFO and Controller with accounting and financial systems, policies, and processes that meet the current and future business requirements of the organization.
- Participating in preparation of monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with IRFS.
- Performing monthly financial analyses and preparing ad hoc management reporting in support of our professional services consultants.
- Reviewing and suggesting system and workflow improvements within billing, accounts payable, and travel and expense reporting.
- Participating in preparation for all audits, including the interim and year-end external audits.
- Participating in the internal review function to ensure compliance with financial controls and policies.
- Working directly with other department personnel on automation issues, training, and interfaces.
- Helping develop, maintain, and communicate financial policies, systems, and procedures to ensure the accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Our Expectations of You
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Experience with Deltek Vision and/or Vantagepoint is required
- A minimum of five years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory role in a professional services environment
- Ability to lead and support employees through transitions in the organization as we implement a new ERP
- Thorough knowledge of project accounting, revenue recognition, account analysis, and financial reports and statements
- Demonstrated flexibility and effectiveness in handling multiple complex projects simultaneously under stringent time frames and changing priorities and conditions
- Highly skilled in written and oral communication, interpersonal relations, team-building, collaboration, finance, and budget management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities; knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
Job Locations
San Diego, Boston, or Washington, DC offices are preferred. Able to work remotely.
