Assistant Sales and Operations Manager, Art Gallery/Frame Shop
Schedule:
Full or Part Time position dependent upon the candidate’s qualifications and schedule availability. Flexibility is needed to cover other employee’s absences and special events when necessary. Alternating Saturday work. No Sundays. Off time available when coordinated with other employee schedules and Owner. Business operates Monday to Saturday. Typical shift is 9:45 to 5:15 but may vary.

Our customers are a pleasure to work with and most aspects of this position’s responsibilities involve creativity in both the visual arts and business problem solving. Compensation:
This will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, availability, training requirements and the possible need for health insurance assistance.
Responsibilities:
This position works with the Lead Framer to run the Gallery operations under the direction of the Owner.
Art sales activities, art acquisition and stocking tasks, inventory management, website sales, bookkeeping using QuickBooks and Excel, procedure development and coordination, displays, framing design and support and coordination of other Part Time staff activities.
Other possible areas include marketing planning, payroll processing, graphic art work, fine art printing.
Necessary Skills:
Prior retail and business experience as well as visual design abilities. Computer skills in WORD, Excel, point-of-sale systems. Wonderful people skills.
Computer Software:
Knowledge of these software applications would be very beneficial:
QuickBooks Desktop, Excel spreadsheet building and usage, WORD, Photoshop, Shopify.
Pinterest for business, Facebook and Instagram applications.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
