Description
Strategic Responsibility:
The A&R Operations Coordinator provides support to the A&R and Operations teams with administrative tasks such as production details, event planning and processing deliverables. They will also assist with communications between the Legal team and our independent contractors. They will be responsible for clear and concise communications between A&R and other departments.
They assist to initiate and coordinate new recordings, send appropriate metadata to mastering engineers as requested by A&R, receive audio and video deliverables from A&R, ensure they are sent to the appropriate parties for Quality Control and archived appropriately online. They will also assist to initiate the commissioning of print assets and distributing to third-parties along with stems.
This position also maintains a record of all artist-created song compositions, and assists with writer splits, publishers, lyrics and title in collaboration with Music Publishing in support of labels front list releases. The A&R Coordinator will also work with the Operations staff to review and deliver song lyrics and metadata for digital distribution.
Job Description:
Compile all product details including, but not limited to credits, lyrics, whitesheets, stems, and masters under direction of supervisor. Communicate with publishing admin team to ensure correct information is placed in whitesheet.
Ensure delivery of the above assets to all 3rd party platforms including, but not limited to: All Credits, MusixMatch, Lyric Find, CCLI, Multitracks, Loop Community.
Commission print assets for all front list releases and ensure delivery to print asset partners including, but not limited to: Praise Charts, CCLI, Musicnotes.
Receive audio and video deliverables from A&R, ensure they are sent to the appropriate parties for Quality Control and archived appropriately online.
Work with the David C Cook legal department to obtain the necessary independent contractor agreements for all third-party contractors. Deliver approved invoices and current W9 forms to the contracts and accounts payable departments at David C Cook.
Assist A&R team with event planning, schedule coordination and internal/external communications.
Assist operations team with the creation of Album Text documents and lyric documents for DSPs.
Collaborate with Senior Leadership to maintain staff voting memberships with industry associations and facilitate any Award nominations on behalf of company (artist, album, songwriter, song producer, artwork, video, etc).
Register all Label releases with Sound Exchange.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Formal Education: Degree in Music Business or Business required.
Experience: 1+ year of administrative experience in Music Business, Music Administration, A&R, or Marketing required.
Specialized Knowledge/Certification: Have an understanding of audio, video and music print formats. Have a good understanding of music business terminology. Ability to problem solve with a win-win approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external contacts. Able to demonstrate excellent business judgement and wisdom.
Equipment Knowledge: Microsoft Office for iOS. Mac computers and software.
