Mobile Food Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Mobile Food Operations Coordinator to manage and operate our Hot Dog Trailer at various events and locations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, loves food, and excels in both cooking and customer service. The ideal candidate will not only handle the day-to-day operations of our Mobile Food unit but also actively seek opportunities to grow and promote our business within the local area and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the Hot Dog Trailer during event days, ensuring a high level of customer service and food quality.
• Maintain, clean, and ensure the Hot Dog Trailer is in excellent working condition at all times.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and food items, to ensure the trailer is well-stocked for each event.
• Safely transport the Hot Dog Trailer to and from events using the company truck.
• Cook, grill, and prepare hot dogs and other food items according to our standards, ensuring each customer receives a delicious and satisfying meal.
• Handle customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Proactively find and book events for the trailer to attend, expanding our presence and customer base.
• Ensure the trailer and business are compliant with all local codes, permits, and licenses.
• Create and develop business opportunities with the local area and University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), including partnerships, sponsorships, and special event participation.

Qualifications:

• Experience in food service, catering, or a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving a large vehicle.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays as needed.
• A proactive approach to finding and creating new business opportunities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
