Ar Accountant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
AR Responsibility
• Assure timely collection of monies due to corporation.
• Monitor and report on deviations from contracted standards.
• Assure timely and accurate invoicing.
• Make recommendations to improve the quality of invoicing and collection procedures.
• Weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments
• Manage proper recording and application of cash, management of outstanding invoices, and direct interfacing with partners on collection matters and dispute resolution.
• Support Management by providing timely and accurate payment and account standing information.
• Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the General Ledger. Also prepare monthly AR activity and tie-back to the AR Aging.
• Manage the monthly reconciliation of other AR related accounts (such as unapplied cash, unclaimed credits, clearing, accrual, bad debt, chargebacks), and prepare any necessary adjusting journal entries.
• Oversee and track monthly Company financing plan activity.
• Establish work standards, develop objectives and design/maintain effective workflows and operating procedures.
• Develops policies, procedures and work instructions for review and approval by the AR/AP Manager and recommends modifications to existing corporate policies and procedures as they relate to accounts receivable.
• Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.
• Lead and support cross-functional projects to improve business results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 5 years work experience in credit/collections.
• BA/BS Degree in Finance/Accounting or a commensurate level of directly related experience.
• Well-developed analytic and problem-solving skills
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time.
• Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
• Successful in dealing with customer and company personnel at all levels.
• High degree of integrity including ability to successfully deal with sensitive or confidential information.
• Ability to exhibit poise, composure and confidence when confronting stressful or high-pressure situations.
• Personally, exhibits a strong commitment to dependability and reliability with the ability to gain the confidence and respect of the customer base.
• Hands on, self-starting, disciplined, and detail-oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high-volume environment that requires a work product that is highly accurate and timely.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of proper accounting treatment for accounts receivable transactions and activities.
• Must be experienced in and able to demonstrate proficiency with computerized accounts receivable software applications.
• High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, MS Word)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Required to sit and talk or hear and to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
• This position is sedentary with bending, twisting, stooping and lifting (of no more than 10 pounds) seldom occurring.
• Hybrid WFH environment, with in-person work performed in a normal office environment.

This position comes with an hourly rate of $26 - $31 per hour DOE.
