The Intake Office of the Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) is looking to fill a Lead Worker vacancy in their Salt Lake City office. DAAS Intake is an important function of DAAS by being the first point of contact for callers with information about vulnerable adults. This position is dedicated to assessing referrals relating to abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults, along with making referrals to partnering agencies when appropriate. You may have to engage in conversations with upset, frustrated, or angry individuals. You will also be assisting the Supervisor with mentoring caseworkers on the Intake team and assisting the Supervisor with other tasks as needed.
This recruitment is open only to current employees of the Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Only current employees of DHHS will be considered for interviews.
This position is Telework Eligible. The State of Utah requires all employees to physically work inside the State of Utah Boundaries.
Preference may be given to applicants having an active Social Service Worker or a higher, related license (Certified Social Worker, LCSW, etc.) with the State of Utah.
