Applications Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Applications Engineer is a hands-on developer that can design, develop, debug, and deploy web-application software, custom-tailored to match each unique client workflow and layout requirements. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development.
Occasional collaboration with our internal and external customers is necessary. This employee's job duties require access to covered information. The employee is subject to additional screening. This designation shall be reviewed at least annually.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete Client application development requests to program new and modify existing .ASP web pages using HTML, and CSS. Requires thorough.
• Design, develop, debug, and deploy web-application code for eScription.
• One software, custom-tailored to match each unique client workflow and layout requirements.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements for existing systems and platforms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with support agents, project managers our external customers and other developers to achieve customer solutions.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
• Complete Client and Implementation application development request to program new and modify existing .XSL stylesheets using XSLT to transform XML code into HTML, to allow for automated formatting of Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) dictations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's degree, or similar educational background
• 3 years of software development experience, or 2 years with an undergraduate degree
• Experience in a Web Development related field
• Experience using a front-end UI framework: either desktop-based, web-based, or mobile
• Experience working on a team following Agile practices, e.g. Kanban or
• Work primarily on-site in Madison, Wisconsin (Post-COVID)
