Job Description

Objective:  The Application Developer is responsible for understanding, maintaining, creating, and implementing technology solutions to meet the application, analytics, and data mining business requirements supporting Pipestone’s products and services.

This position will be responsible for working closely with business users and other internal IT staff as well as external consultants to complete projects under high levels of responsibility and autonomy. 
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Other duties as assigned):

• Develop new and provide ongoing support for existing .NET solutions that facilitate business processes. 
• Collaborate with teammates and business users to define, design, and create new solutions and enhance existing ones. 
• Assist with the creation and implementation of departmental and organizational processes and procedures as they pertain to IT activities and responsibilities. 
• Evaluate existing solutions to refactor, maintain and add new features. 
• Troubleshoot existing solutions in a timely manner to identify issues and restore functionality. 

 

 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS 

Education: 

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred 
• High School diploma or equivalent required

 

Experience:  

• 3+ years of relevant work experience. Candidate can hit the ground running with minimal technical mentoring and training. 
• Proficient skills in C#, VB.NET, and/or API based web technologies. 
• Knowledge of relational database systems, SQL Server preferred. 
• Proven technical knowledge of Information Technology field and computer systems in a Windows environment. 
• Hardworking and driven individual with desire to improve personally and professionally. 
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong troubleshooting abilities to understand the source of problems and effective critical thinking to outline solutions. 
• Must be comfortable at multitasking at times of conflicting priorities and concurrent problems. 
• General knowledge of business, finance, or accounting preferred. 
• Experience with ERP integration is a plus. 

 

 

Work Environment: Agricultural office environment in rural area.   

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to attend and participate in meetings of various lengths. 

 

Additional Requirements:  Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation to get to work and attend meetings.
