Position Title: Special Assets Adjustor - Small Business Lending
Business Unit: Credit
Reports to: Manager of Special Assets - Small Business Lending
Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for collecting delinquent commercial accounts, preparing and compiling documentation, preparing concise correspondence, records and reports, determining appropriate collection strategies, and making recommendations for loans to be transferred to Special Assets/FNB Equipment Finance Management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collects delinquent commercial accounts by following departmental collection procedures, contacting the borrower, and utilizing effective human relations skills to secure payment arrangements. Issues collection letters and locates customers as necessary.
Notifies borrowers of past due amounts and monitors to ensure that borrowers follow through on payment arrangements while presenting a positive image of the Bank.
Exercises the Bank's right of offset when appropriate.
Accurately documents all collection actions taken in a timely manner. Actions may include telephone conversations, payment arrangements, maintenance ordered, and correspondence with borrowers and internal customers by telephone, email or letter, etc.
Recommends to the Manager of Special Assets – SBLC those accounts that require transfer to a Special Assets Officer – SBLC or FNBEF Management for further collection activity.
Prepares concise correspondence, records and reports, establishes and maintains delinquent account records, updates files, documents payments received, reviews records and transactions, resolves misapplied payments, researches transactions, organizes and summarizes information and data and does so accurately and promptly for all portfolios.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
