Crm & Application Developer

*This position is located out of our St Paul, MN Headquarters as a part of our Hybrid team, currently working a mix of 3 days/week in office and 2 flex days.

In this role, you will be an essential member of the IT integration team and ensure the success of the Dynamics CRM system for INFRA and our end users. With your primary focus of Dynamics 365, you will have the opportunity develop solutions that address real business challenges and make a meaningful impact while working directly with users and partners within our highly collaborative, small, yet highly sophisticated team. You will contribute to software projects from ideation to planning and execution; working with entities, relationships, flows, processes, and other Dynamics 365 elements.

What you will own and improve:

Dynamics 365 Development

• Continuously maintain and improve the system by analyzing functionality, troubleshooting issues, performing system upgrades and backups.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless integration of CRM solutions with other business applications and systems.
• Ownership of MSCRM Customization & Configuration based on company needs
• Prepare Technical Specifications documentation
• System and application architecture development & design review
• Increase productivity by effectively integrating PowerBI reporting/forecasting tools or utilizing basic CRM reporting capabilities.

• Support and improve 3rd party data integration into the CRM
• Increase user productivity and improve data synchronization using PowerAutomate

Development planning

• Own development planning using approved project management tools (team currently uses agile and Scrum-like approach). Practice an end-to-end, user-focused approach: requirements gathering through solution deployment.
• Connect Dynamics 365 roadmaps and development planning to the overall Technology roadmap and relevant user roadmaps.
• Create and implement roadmaps and project plans for CRM and Application development work, including new feature launches, user feature requests, system improvements, bug fixes, and data integration.
• Incorporate business processes that are needed into our association CRM by participating in requirements gathering, improvement, or innovation workshops with users. Solution building with dynamic design - Design based on requirements gathering in a way that works today and in the future

Partner with users

• Proactively address user concerns, collect feedback on functionality, and engage directly with users to ensure their needs are understood and met effectively.
• Provide user training, promote best practices, create documents, and present information to stakeholders and users.
• Lead Technical Discussion with project team, stakeholders, and end users.
• Partner with Data and BI team to ensure users receive the right dashboards in the right places.

Key initial deliverables after hire:

• Implement a CRM refactoring plan for existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Review backlog, implement clarified and prioritized user feature requests
• Complete minor bug improvements to get things ship shape
• Get up to speed on INFRA's business model, data sources, and operations status

What you already know:

• 2+ years hands-on experience with D365 CE/Dynamics CRM online either as Admin or Developer, including experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM/CE and Microsoft Dynamics Application design within the Microsoft Dataverse
• Passion for researching, learning, and growing in your CRM Development skills. We love self-taught and formally educated folks alike, as long as they love learning!
• Desire to work in a small team and on a small software development team, including Agile processes and use of Azure DevOps along with usage of software version control systems
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for client-side customization and user interface enhancements
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate and/or Power Platform development
• Understanding of security models in Dynamics CE, including role-based access control.
• An in-depth understanding of relational database concepts and data manipulation.
• Preferred: Knowledge of web services and APIs for data integration, systems architecture, and external system connectivity.
• Enjoy being a team player with great communication and collaboration abilities, as well as an independent leader who is able to take initiative.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, creative thinking, able to think on your feet, and flexible in how to get things done.
• Strong sense of urgency, accuracy, and follow-through. Able to effectively prioritize multiple projects and deadlines while consistently delivering high quality results.
• Willing to work a hybrid work model in our St Paul, MN office
