Essential Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Analyze business, systems, and information technology needs, Research solutions and provide recommendations, through formal, informal, written, and verbal presentations. Fill the role of Business Analyst, Business Requirements Analyst, and/or Systems Analyst for projects and committees, as required.
- Process Improvement: Assist with modification of business processes to improve technology utilization. Identify process weakness, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Participate in workflow modeling and analysis.
- Training, Documentation, and Technical Writing: Create and deliver end user and train-the-trainer training sessions, training materials, and system documentation. Train, mentor, and provide guidance to individuals in the Application Analyst I role. Assist in development of departmental procedures.
- Vendor Management: Work closely with software vendors to keep up to date with enhancements/corrections and implement them as directed by the Applications Manager or appropriate business owner. Assist the Applications Manager with contract negotiations and reviews. Participate in Risk Assessments and Risk Management processes.
- Application Support: Provide Tier II support for the IT Help Desk for all bank, affiliate, and subsidiary applications. Provide ongoing production support for applications after successful project implementation. Manage the IT applications project and work order portfolios in the absence of the Applications Manager.
- Systems/user groups supported include: All applicable Bank applications.
- PMLC, SDLC, ITSM: Manage assigned projects and systems in accordance with industry standards and best practices, including Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) standards and frameworks.
- Project Management: Provide leadership to project teams by filling Project Manager and Technical Lead roles throughout all stages of the project lifecycle. Take ownership, responsibility, and accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, resources, tasks, artifacts, documentation, and deliverables. Fill Project Management, Analyst, Tech Lead, and technical roles, as needed, during analysis, development, configuration, test system implementation, system testing, user acceptance testing, production implementation, and post-implementation testing. Normal scope of projects managed will be more limited in nature, involving a single department, a single vendor, an application with limited integration to other systems, etc.
- Test Coordination and Quality Assurance: Act as Test Coordinator and Lead Quality Assurance Analyst for all system changes, upgrades, and implementation projects.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies, industry regulations, and best practices for Configuration Management, Change Management, and Software Implementation. Document all issues, requests, changes, projects, and troubleshooting steps in Work Order and Project Management tracking systems.
- On-call: Participate in the IT department on-call rotation, providing one week of 24/7 support for all IT systems, as required (typically every 6-8 weeks).
- Early morning, evening, and weekend hours may be required for system implementations, upgrades, changes, and system support.
- Responsible for understanding the Bank's BSA/AML Policy, including satisfactory completion of required annual BSA/AML training as applicable to position and appropriately apply this knowledge to daily activities and responsibilities, specifically understanding that any suspicious activity must be reported to the BSA Officer immediately.
- Maintain current knowledge and engage in ongoing education regarding federal and state regulations, including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley, Graham Leach Bliley, the FACT Act, and Federal Reserve Banking Regulations.
Educational & Other Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time banking industry work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience supporting or implementing IT solutions in an enterprise environment in a role with Application Support responsibilities.
- Minimum of 2 year of full-time work experience managing third-party software implementation projects.
- PMI PMP, PMI CAPM, PMI-PBA, IIBA CBAP, or CompTIA Project+ certification may be substituted for one year of required project management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time IT experience or equivalent.
- A two-year degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar may be substituted for one year of IT work experience.
- A four-year degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar may be substituted for two years of IT work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of documented full-time work experience as an Application Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Project Technical Lead, IT Project Manager, or equivalent, with positive references.
- Must be bondable.
