Who We Are:

Gift of Life Donor Program, the non-profit agency serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware. We are responsible for recovering organs and tissues used in lifesaving and life-enhancing transplants.

Job Summary:

Assist in the development and implementation of efficient systems that provide GLDP with access to hospital EMR systems, and support system integration projects between EMR systems and GLDP’s clinical database system. Serve as the liaison between Transplant Coordination, Tissue Recovery Services, Transplant Information Center (TIC), Quality Assurance and Hospital Services for all hospital EMR-related issues. Facilitates identification of modifications, testing activities, implementation, and support for internal users by acting as a liaison between users and internal and external IT stakeholders.

Some of the requirements for the Clinical Application Analyst role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required ideally in computer science, business, or healthcare.
  • Prefer 4+ years working experience in healthcare, information systems, or healthcare IT.
  • Clinical Informatics experience
  • Epic, or Cerner experience.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience facilitating meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow and document methodology for initiating EMR access systems.
  • Work with Hospital Services Coordinators to obtain access to hospital executives and other hospital personnel who will participate in implementation of agreed upon systems.
  • Organize and track details of each electronic medical record access system.
  • Troubleshoot real time EMR access problems.
  • Identify any changes with respect to the hospital EMR that could impact GLDP staff
  • Facilitate the acquisition of requested donor medical record information for internal GLDP stakeholders
  • Identify, modify, and execute processes to ensure hospital IT have a timely and accurate list of GLDP staff that require access to hospital EMR
  • Identify, modify, and execute processes to assist GLDP staff in gaining access to EMR education including updates on any changes
  • Act as a liaison with hospital/health system IT departments for any external application integration efforts (e.g. Copernicus)
  • Facilitate the identification and documentation of requirements
  • Develop, validate and/or execute user acceptance test plans
  • Support deployment and post-production monitoring of changes to the TrueNorth system.
  • Develop and update TrueNorth end-user documentation
  • Assist in maintaining a list of issues, modification requests, new feature requests
