We are a growing apartment rental company with properties in several suburbs of Dayton. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repair of our properties. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently. The role requires driving to our various locations.
Duties:
- Supervise Make ready turns to ensure quality and timely completion
- Find and manage contractors and vendors for turns, and projects
- Draw up list for turns and schedule contractors
- Order Paint and supplies for turns and track usage
- Place lockboxes on vacant units and remove as appropriate
- Place yard signs
- Post notices
- Regular inspection of grounds to ensure curb appeal and cleanliness
- Regular inspection of common areas to ensure cleanliness
- Building inspection per preventative maintenance Schedule
- Pick grounds and blow as needed
- Assist with work orders
- Maintain record of work in our property management software
Experience:
- Previous experience in Apartment maintenance or related field
- Strong knowledge of building repairs and construction
- Excellent customer service skills
