Your Role:
The AP Accountant will be responsible for the global AP controls, processes, and systems and oversee US and Canada Accounts Payable function and day-to-day transaction, while liaising with Japan for other regions to ensure proper processes are followed and systems are configured correctly, as well as support the GL team with month end close.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, including matching invoices to POs in Zip.
Work closely with the Procurement team to ensure proper documentation and approvals are in place and resolve any discrepancies between invoices and POs.
Review and process employee expense reports.
Review and obtain proper receipt and approval for credit card transactions.
Maintain and update the Employees Expense policy
Maintain vendor master records updates to ensure security processes are followed
Post monthly journal entries including vendor accruals, account reconciliations, and the month-end close process.
Own the SOX AP documentation and timely update as controls change.
Support senior and supervisory staff with assigned accounting and ad hoc projects such as implementing a new T&E system.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to deliver under tight deadlines, resourceful, and solution-oriented
Strong organizational and time management skills and detail oriented
Able to develop effective working relationships with various and diverse stakeholders
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to operate with flexibility
Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Netsuite and ZipHQ preferred
Prior system implementation experience desired
Physical Requirements:
Working out of the Mountain View office according to our “Global Hybrid Working Policy.”
Travel Requirements:
No regular travel requirements, may be invited to team’s offsite meetings on an annual basis
