Responsibilities
The Supply and Demand Planning Analyst at New York Blood Center Enterprises, you will be part of the team responsible for ensuring the efficient planning of consumable supplies to meet the blood operations and laboratory needs. In this role, you will collaborate with blood operations and laboratory departments, as well as Enterprise Analytics and Data Sciences teams to optimize inventory levels, forecast demand accurately, and enhance supply chain efficiency. Reporting directly to the Supply and Demand Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization's mission to provide a safe and sufficient blood supply to hospitals and medical facilities in the region.
Candidates must reside within commuting distance to one of the following NYBCe locations :New York City, NY, Kansas City, Missouri, St. Paul Minnesota, Providence , RI and Newark, DE.
Responsibilities:
Analyze historical demand patterns, seasonal trends, future growth projections, and operational inputs to develop accurate demand forecasts for consumable supplies used in blood collections and laboratory manufacturing processes.
Work closely with Enterprise Analytics and Data Sciences (EADS) team to leverage advanced analytics and predictive modeling for improved demand forecasting and decision-making.
Establish strong relationships with operational blood collections and laboratory departments to understand their needs, challenges, and upcoming projects that may impact supply requirements.
Partner with operations and procurement to identify potential risks and opportunities to pro-actively address supply chain challenges.
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
Pro-actively identify inefficiencies in supply chain processes and propose solutions to optimize resource utilization and enhance overall performance.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on metrics related to inventory turnover, stockouts, and forecast accuracy.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Data Science, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of proven experience in supply chain analytics, demand forecasting, and planning of consumable supplies, preferably in a medical or pharmaceutical setting.
Preferred:
Experience in working with Data Sciences teams and implementing forecasting models is highly desirable.
Knowledge:
Proficiency in data analysis tools, statistical software, supply chain planning software, and Oracle ERP.
Preferred Knowledge of blood collection and laboratory processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
Travel:
Up to 10%

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $59,000.00/year to $82,000.00/year. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
