The Reporting & Analysis team within Business Management is seeking an Analyst to join in the New York office. The group's function supports the COO & broader Business Management team with various analyses to help make key decisions. Analyses include revenue forecasting, pipeline, business trends, banker performance & various ad-hoc analyses.
The broader group, Business Management, helps direct the Firm's strategy & development, franchise management, banker resource management, Reporting & Analysis, and resource management.
Responsibilities
* Prepare top line forecasts across all products, regions & sectors of the Firm
* Participate in monthly revenue updates to produce quarterly and annual revenue forecasts
* Prepare thoughtful presentations around various topics to present to the Executive Committee
* Coordinate & develop relationships with business managers to stay abreast on the latest deal updates & firm information
* Coordinate with Accounting on the latest revenue bookings, revenue recognition, engagement letter interpretation, amortization & accruals
* Assist in preparation of firm-wide strategy decks, earnings packs & board presentations
* Analyze business data & develop insightful analyses on business trends for Management Committee, Investor Relations & Marketing team
* Conduct various banker performance analyses
* Prepare banker performance review materials for Executive Committee & Business Management
* Evaluate current reporting needs & execute changes to improve efficiency & data integrity
* Manage, develop & enhance new visualization, reports & analyses in Tableau / PowerBI
* Support the firm as necessary on various ad hoc analyses, reports & strategic initiatives
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related or quantitative major
* 1-2 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, investment banking or private equity preferred
* Strong interest in investment banking industry, particularly on industry trends/themes
* Ability to work in a high pace, high pressure environment and can quickly adapt to changing business needs
* Hard-working, conscientious & capable of managing situations with discretion
* Strong communication skills & comfortable communicating with a wide range of employees
* Resourceful, problem solver, self-starter & positive attitude
* Strong attention to detail & accuracy
* Strong analytical skills and computer skills including, but not limited to:
* Advanced Excel skills; ability to synthesize & prepare summarized reports efficiently
* Experience with producing executive level PowerPoint presentations
* Experience with building new visualizations & reports in Tableau / PowerBI
* CRM software
Expected Salary Range: USD $80,000 - $90,000
