Job Description
Ares is looking for a highly motivated, quick-thinking and organized Legal Coordinator to join our Legal team. The appropriate candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring mental agility and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. The Legal Coordinator will provide administrative and project support to the legal team with respect to general corporate and public company matters.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative and project support with respect to corporate matters, including: records management, legal and compliance entity management (e.g., entity formation/dissolution, maintaining entity vitals, creating/amending governing documents), conflicts clearances, administrating legal invoices, and managing the execution process with respect to corporate and transactional matters.
- Assist Senior Paralegal and Attorneys with public company matters, including records management, corporate resolutions, minute books, disclosure questionnaires, audit obligations, SEC filings, and NYSE listing requirements.
- Develop processes to improve operations and efficiency of the Legal team.
- Respond to internal document requests across business groups, including inbound KYC/AML and due diligence document requests and preparing organizational entity charts.
- Organize, maintain and periodically audit electronic and hard copy files relating to various matters, including highly sensitive information.
- Additional business-related projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree, required.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the legal and/or business fields.
- Financial services industry experience preferred.
- Experience with any entity management software preferred.
- Experience handling sensitive personal information preferred.

Compensation
The anticipated rate for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus.
$35 to $40 hourly
